About

Hello! I created this blog to share my thoughts and experiences, and to hopefully start a dialogue about the things that I perceive to be the proverbial  “elephant in the room.”

I wanted to create a space to break the uncomfortable silence about issues that many want to discuss, but do not, simply because of the awkwardness and fear of judgement. My goal is to write this blog with honesty, and without the pressure that we all share of having to be politically correct.  I must confess that there is a vulnerability that I feel when being outspoken about things that are usually spoken of in private, or not at all, but change can only begin with an honest dialogue.

I welcome you to also share your thoughts and experiences, for there is a lot that can be learned from seeing something from another vantage point. This blog is a forum, so lets converse!

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Thanks for the follow! Your concept is very good as we all at some time or other have an elephant in the room. In 2010, I was having lots of medical tests until the biopsy that made the definitive diagnosis. My elephant was fear of lung cancer, fear, uncertainty. Thank God, it turned out to be Valley Fever,( I was in AZ) and though that is serious, it is not deadly ! I hope others will share their elephants……namaste. . .. Anne

  2. Thank you as well! I appreciate the love… I am happy that you are well, and that your fear was just a fear, and not a reality. I also plan to write a lot about health issues and the stigmas that come a long with illness. This blog is experiment of self expression and exploration for me. There is so much I want to say, so it’s hard to figure out what I want to write next… I see that we share a love of Ancient Egypt. 😉

I look forward to sharing with you. Thanks again, Anne.
